Dear Colorado All State Sponsor,
Thank you so much for supporting me in the 2009 Colorado All State Football Game. It was truly an honor to represent you, the town of Montrose, and the Montrose High School Football Team. A lot of athletes do not get to experience what I did during that week. I made great friends, played with the best athletes in Colorado,and played for great coaches. To play in the All State game has been a goal of mine ever since I was a freshman in high school, and with your help I got to complete that

After the wife crashed my Arai, I needed a replacement. Having less money than I did when I bought the Arai, the $500 was just out of the question. I took a little trip over to meet Blue Goose in Montrose, CO and there are several nice shops there covering all the major brands so we stopped in Davis Service Center (Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki), and found ny new AFX helmet. Yeah, it's just a typical AFX/ FX helmet but we prodded me to post was the people and the service. I know ya'll won't believe it, but I'm prone to BS and would like to get folks smiling and laughing and get to know them a bit. They jumped right in and I had a helluva good time visiting with them.
My saleslady, (I forget her name, but she is a cutie that makes me wish I was about 40 years younger, my grandson told me, "Man! She's HAWT! But what do I know? I'm a geezer), was a pure pleasure and I asked her what kinda deal she'd make me. She came back with a 10% off right off the bat and we had a deal. I wasn't really expecting a discount, but got one and then threw in a helmet bag and enough stickers to hold the KLR together during the CDR.
They also had a bike on the showroom floor. Not for sale. But if our glorious leader hadn't hit the pocketbook so hard, I'd have a DL650 parked next to the hillcycle today.

But the gist of this post is Davis Service Center has good folks and I will make the drive, (180 miles), just to do business with them again. Pleased, I am.
BTW, Montrose has a good size KLR community. Geezers and young'uns alike. The Geezer Brigade meets every Wed morning for breakfast and then go on a ride. Lots of good riding around there.

On June 14th, 2010, I rode a 2004 Road Star into your dealership needing service. It was around noon, on a Friday, and there were three Alabama Gulf Coast guys 1500 miles from home with a problem. Your dealership could choose to make a bad situation better, or worse. Your guys chose to try to make it better. Your Service Manager got right on the problem, and had a Tech ready to go. The Tech, Jeremiah Thibeau, was very professional, and very knowedgable. Within an hour he had the transfer case apart and explained the problem to me. The parts would have to be ordered, and come from the East Coast. One of your Parts Manager said he would try to get them flown in but could make no promises, on a Friday afternoon. Now there are three of us and two motorcycles. You were gracious enough to loan me a Road Star to ride. All three guys really appreciate the loaner. It allowed us to tour Black Canyon, and it was a great ride. We would have missed it, without the loaner. When we left Black Canyon we came back to the dealership, and to our surprise my bike was ready to go. Jeremiah took time to explain the cause of the problem, and how to keep from experiencing it again. I have not had a problem since the repair. Jeremiah is a valuable asset, for your dealership, not only for his mechanical ability but also his patience with the customer. Please give him a big "THANK YOU" from me. Your whole team was very friendly, professional, and left us wishing your dealership was in our part of the country.
Thank you again from Ken, Jack and Butch. We will stop by and visit on our next trip. I just hope it will not be for motorcycle problems.
